Johny Hendricks Amps His Routine With This Mentality 

 

Never give up.

 

We know, you've heard that advice before. It can be redundant, but it's more significant when it's coming from the right person. A frightening wrestler who has a dominant 16-3-0 UFC record, Johny Hendricks has never been knocked out, and he has a left hook that could stagger an elephant. Hendricks has faced weight-cutting struggles and had his pristine record marred by some tough (and questionable) decisions. As a spokesman for Reebok's "Be More Human" campaign, it's obvious that Hendricks is a perfect fit.

Eck, Pudge compete for 'awesomeness' title 

 

"Give me that bat, this is the fun part."

After playing catch with Telemundo anchor Patsi Arias, retired slugger Ivan Rodriguez gave the reporter some pointers in the batting cages. He was later interrupted while saying goodbye.

"Hey! No hugging," fan Joe Kilo yelled from the audience. Rodriguez waved toward the FanFest crowd and invited Kilo into the cages to meet the reporter.

 

"He was jealous because I hugged the beautiful woman," Rodriguez said. "I told him 'If you want to hug her come in.' She [didn't] have a problem with that. We made his day."

HU's Sampson likely not cowed by AAC's fast crowd

Calling the American Athletic Conference's roster of men's basketball coaches "talented" would be like calling New York City "a big town in the East."

 

With current NCAA champion Kevin Ollie, AAC regular season champion Mick Cronin, former Associated Press Coach of the Year Frank Haith and Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown all meeting in the Big Apple, Wednesday's AAC men's basketball media day boasted a star-studded cast.

 

The University of Houston's Kelvin Sampson, the newest of the AAC's name-brand coaches, looked right at home.

Mizzou's key hitters, others, in hitting slump

 

Missouri baseball coach Tim Jamieson knew early on that his team’s offensive consistency would be a challenge. After being swept in San Francisco in early March, he was focused on getting hits from Conner Mach, Blake Brown and Eric Garcia. After the team’s practice on March 1, Jamieson said:

“If these guys don’t hit then we won’t be able to score runs. It’s something we have to fix now, we know that they’re capable.”

The Tigers have proven they’re capable, but, after 50 games, they haven’t proven they can be consistent.

Mizzou unleashes the bats in 21-5 rout of North Dakota

Blake Brown and Conner Mach combined for seven hits and five runs in a blow out 21-5 win over North Dakota Wednesday. They said the offense fed off the team’s confidence with its seven-game winning streak.
